π Detailed description
Looking for a decent tablet under $60? Here's what I found
I needed a tablet for reading comics and watching Netflix in bed without spending a fortune. The budget tablet market is full of disappointing devices that promise flagship features at bargain prices. When I spotted this 10.1-inch Android tablet for $59, I was skeptical but curious enough to give it a shot.
What you actually get for your money
After two weeks of testing, here's the reality: this tablet runs current Android with Google Play access, powered by a Helio P35 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. The 10.1-inch display is surprisingly decent for the price point, with good color reproduction for basic media consumption.
It includes dual SIM slots and can make 3G calls, though using a 10-inch device as a phone feels ridiculous. The dual cameras exist mainly for video calls - don't expect photography miracles. Battery life hits around 6-7 hours of video streaming, which is reasonable.
My honest take: real pros and an important limitation
What surprised me: the build quality feels solid, not like those flimsy $30 tablets. The screen is genuinely good enough for reading and video content. Performance stays smooth for browsing, streaming apps, and e-reading.
The real limitation: forget intensive gaming. Games like PUBG will struggle. Also, while it has 64GB storage, the system takes up significant space, so budget for a microSD card.
What would you normally get at this price?

At $60, you'd typically find tablets with 2GB RAM, terrible screens, or outdated Android versions. Decent tablets usually start around $150-200. This delivers specs you'd expect from $100+ devices at half the cost.
Buy it if... or skip it if...
Buy it if: you need a media consumption device, e-reader, or basic browsing tablet on a tight budget. It's excellent as a secondary device or for kids.
Skip it if: you want gaming performance, video editing capability, or premium camera quality. Also skip if you need the absolute latest Android features.
My verdict: 7/10. Best value I've found in the budget tablet category.
